Carpool to Games

The carpool requirements are set up on googledocs so if you are able to drive, you can sign up online.
Varsity Carpool
JV Carpool

At this time, no buses will be provided this season due to budget constraints so there will be carpools for the away games.

Our rule is that varsity players may drive themselves to games when they are held within Marin County. Outside the county a carpool will be organized with parents driving.

Junior Varsity needs a carpool for every away game.

Message from Coach Grose
Happy New Year Redwood lax!
The season always sneaks up on me and it has again.

Here is an article by Quint Kessinich of Insidelacrosse.com, a former rival and now voice of the college game. He hits the nail on the head concerning his approach to January. January for us is not much different than the article, get your studies in order, work on your conditioning and everyone has to Hit the Wall to improve stickwork.

There is more opportunity to get on the field for both JV and Varsity, more than ever before. We need guys that are responsible about their studies, are in great shape for tryouts/practice and have high quality stick skills.

The Redwood Varsity lacrosse program has become the premier program in Marin over the last three years and closing in on the best in NorCal. Our success over the last few years did not come easily, it came with a lot of hard work, hustle and pride. This January we will start our defense of a NCS title and will continue to build younger players on our JV to take this elite level into the future. Make no mistake our rivals in Marin alone are hiring new coaches, organizing earlier and working their tails off to knock us off this perch. As Quint’s article says January work lays the foundation to springtime success. Let’s make January a great month in the classroom while we prepare ourselves for a great February/Spring!

As always the coaching staff is available via email if you have any questions. FYI, often my answer on how a player can prepare over the next month is, HIT THE WALL .

I look forward to working with you all this spring.
Go Giants!
